PW Variety Show
Accessible Education Association’s most recent fundraiser, a year-end variety show at Prince of Wales Secondary, was a demonstration of the privilege that we wish for all the children of the world: the opportunity to pursue their interests and develop their talents.
Our latest fundraiser was a two-part, in-school variety show with wonderful performances from the students of Prince of Wales Secondary. During the lunchtime of Friday, May 30th, ten talented students performed for the rest of the school in the cafeteria. We had singers, dance groups and instrumentalists who brightened the stage and brought some fun to the school as the year ended.
The second part of our fundraiser was a raffle ticket draw. Our prizes included a giant stuffed Toucan, a Starbucks gift card and Mystery Packages. We sold the tickets at $1 for one, $3 for five and $7 for ten.
We would like to give a big thanks to all of the volunteers and performers for making this possible and helping us with our mission to bring open education everywhere. We can only hope that our future fundraisers will be met with the same enthusiasm and support.
